Our Story
Our Story
Everything is sales. From my first job as a carnival barker in 1992, "Step right up, you look like a winner!" to the ethical sales approach I now preach and adhere to, it's been a long journey. I've made more mistakes and had more failures than most people ever attempt. I've been self-employed and bankrupt, I've made more than a million dollars in commissions and watched them all slip away on bad housing investments. I made those mistakes so that you don't have to. I started TheSalesNerds so that I could shave years off of your learning curve.
Meet the Team
We are true Sales Nerds. We know the guys who are Sales Jocks, that push people around and bully them into buying. We aren't them. We persuade, influence and have fun while doing it. We like Star Wars and Star Trek because Star Wars happened a long long time ago and Star Trek is in the future. Doctor Who, the best sales books, and Pokemon Go can all be in the same conversation at our office. I'm pretty sure that happened last week. We also live to serve and help you improve your sales skills and your bottom line.
Sundance has been in sales for more than 20 years, written books, given speeches and been on the front lines closing deals the entire time. He loves his wife and 4 children who have names as unique as his because he believes it builds character. He got into sales by accident but realized that it was his lifelong quest to use the Jedi Mind Trick for the power of good and to teach others to do the same. It has yet to work on his wife, but he carries on.
Co-author of “99 Sales Team Incentives”, Ryan Church has spent most of his life in sales, anything from sports equipment, prescription eyewear, to mortgages. Extensive knowledge of SalesFu and the art of persuasion, Ryan has found his passion in training colleagues what he has discovered about team comradery to improve business. Above all are his family, friends, and a puppy named Kaiser.
Jared has sold everything from hot sauce to mortgages and loves to interact with a crowd. It probably stems from his old bartending days, but he's a firm believer that humor sells but listening to your client sells better. Tell a joke, ask a question and then shut up and listen.
He once lost a sales bet and had to shave his eyebrow, but he sold his boss on not having to go through with it based on a spousal objection. Now he teaches others how to get over the spousal and just about any other objection you can think of!
