I did indeed read 52 Books this past year and I enjoyed it so much that I’m going to keep up the habit for 2017!
I 100% just wrote out the entire list of 52 Books I read this year and it took forever! 52 books is a lot of titles, plus just to make it easier for you I linked their Twitter accounts in case you are interested in their works and want to follow them on Twitter as well. I have separated out the TOP 10 choices of the year for myself.
I don’t actually want to talk about the books, those were all great and even the books that weren’t as interesting were still valuable to me. I want to mention something about reading in general and goal setting. I set a goal to read 52 books in 2016 and I’m not someone who has always hit his goals and I’ve never had a goal that was so specific and time-consuming. I did find though that this was one of the most valuable habits I ever could have picked up. I’ve learned more in a single year than I learned in my entire college experience, and I went to college for a LONG time! It might be because I was the one that chose the books and they all appealed to me in some way. It might be because in a college setting you might only read the text and then listen to lectures, I’m not sure. I can tell you that I will continue this habit and that I’m literally SOLD on reading a book a week and you should be too. The ideas in these books spurred my own ideas and helped me to spend countless nights blogging, writing and thinking up ways to improve or help others. Some of these books had been on the back burner for years and I had never gotten around to reading them. I can’t believe I waited so long. I wholeheartedly encourage you to head to the library, log onto Amazon or Audible and get your hands on a book today. In case you are wondering, yeah, I totally ranked my own book in the top 10.
